As a child and family portrait photographer I love to photograph tender moments of motherhood and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph the sweet bond between Sarah and her 20 month old daughter, Vivian. Sarah is a photographer herself and a true artistic soul and brought these beautiful handmade flower crowns with her and dress for Vivi made by Vivi's grandmother from her great-great-grandmother's vintage scarves!

As always I try not to really "pose" my clients and just let things unfold naturally with gentle suggestions. I love the quiet tender moments these two shared, especially with Vivi curled up in Sarah's lap after nursing. It's wonderful to be trusted to capture connection like this.
