These days most people need a beautiful, natural headshot for use with social media, their business, or even for dating websites! As a London portrait photographer, I specialise in providing my clients with polished, elegant lifestyle portraits, full of personality and far removed from corporate headshots of old.
Modern London headshot photography
These beautiful portraits were taken for businesswoman Jessica, to use in connection with her growing recruitment business based in St James's, London. Her agency is hitting the headlines and she urgently needed some new headshots for use with marketing and press media. I often photograph my subjects in very natural, organic locations, but here we shot in a pretty little London mews, to bring more of an urban feel, whilst still retaining some elements of greenery and character. I suggested that Jessica bring a few different outfit options to give more than one "look"; I particularly like the navy blue tones of her quilted Barbour against the cool dark background.
Contemporary portraits for women
These portraits were all taken shortly after sunrise on a brisk April morning in Kensington. The headshots all feature my signature look using soft natural sunlight and pretty flattering tones to create a very stylish, almost 'fashion' vibe.
Hopeless in photos?
Here's what Jessica said when she first got in touch with me:
"I'd like to have some professional photos taken so that i'm not sending out the same old Facebook picture! However, I don't want the usual 'business'-style headshots; I'd love something a bit different and gorgeous (but not naff!). I must warn you, I bet people say this all the time, but I am hopeless at having my photo taken. I’m petrified of it… my wedding photographer told me I was the most difficult bride he had ever had."
