Wimbledon Common is a perfect spot for my South West London family photography; it has a rugged, outdoorsy vibe with long grass and paths through the woodland. I often recommend it for family photoshoots with adventurous and boisterous children because there is so much space to run around in and explore! The light is also beautiful filtering through the leaves and grasses, especially in summer.
Family portraits
Meet Felix, aged 3, and his sweet little brother Theo, aged 11 months. These two are great buddies already and it was lovely to capture the two of them together. Of course we also took time for some individual photographs of the children too, with Felix keen to impress us with his sprinting prowess and Theo with his crawling.
Wimbledon family photography
Parents are always much less keen to be photographed, but these are the photographs that will be treasured most of all, especially by children as they grow up into adults themselves. I love the simple, but beautifully-lit portraits of mother and baby, as well as father and son looking for fairies in the grass and little Felix hanging on his father’s every word. You will see that we had time for a few outfit changes too, which I am always happy to do!
