Children's Birthday Party Photography

As a specialist child photographer, I am often commissioned for children's birthday parties throughout London. My style for party photography is a little different to my family portrait photography, in that it is reportage and documentary and focuses entirely on capturing the special moments of the party as they unfold without my involvement. I am relaxed and unobtrusive and will be there simply to create a beautiful record of the day to look back on; the blowing out of the candles on the birthday cake, the storytelling by the children's entertainer, the chasing of bubbles and even the tears when it's all too much fun and its time to go home! I will photograph both adults and children and create black and white photos as well as colour. I am just as happy photographing birthday parties indoors (with or without natural light), as well as outside.

Pricing

The pricing includes my time photographing the party and a set of edited high-resolution digital photos delivered around 3 days after the event, on a private online gallery for you to download, and share with family and friends as you wish. You can expect around 200 edited photographs per hour of photography. The first hour of photography is £400 and additional hours are £200/hour (charged by the half hour) and is paid in advance. The pricing does not include any fine art prints or beautiful bespoke albums. My clients particularly love albums to showcase their children's birthday photographs because they tell such a story of the day and can include a large number of images.

Availability

Please note that my weekends are often booked with family photoshoots quite far in advance, so please contact me if you would like to chat about photography at your child's birthday. It's also worth thinking about a family portrait session as well as, or instead of, birthday party photos, as a record of your child at that particular age - this is especially popular for one year old's first birthdays!
